Interest
The Red Rocks are by far the most well-known aspect of Sedona. There
are many state parks dedicated to the areas scenic setting
such as Red Rock State Park, Slide Rock State Park and Red Rock
Crossing.
Jeep tours in the country, hot air balloons, and horseback riding
all provide opportunities for visitors to see the Red Rocks from
a spectacular view. Theres excitement for all different tastes,
so exploring this No. 11 hotspot is a no-miss in everyones
trip.
Tlaquepaque is a shopping plaza that was made to resemble a Mexican
style arts and crafts village. It has shops for all ages, art galleries,
and restaurants to entertain.
The beautiful drive along 89A in Oak Creek Canyon was the first
designated scenic highway in Arizona.
Among other sites to see are Indian ruins scattered throughout the
red rocks, shopping plazas, art galleries, and casual to fancy restaurants
with excellent views.
Schools
The area is
served by the Sedona-Oak Creek School District, which includes the
Big Park Elementary School, Juniper Canyon Alternative High School,
Sedona Integrated Preschool, Sedona-Red Rock High School, West Sedona
Elementary School and the West Sedona Montessori Elementary School.
